The board of Miller-McCoy Academy voted Tuesday to hire two new administrators to get the all-boys charter school in eastern New Orleans back on track. Katrina Horton, who has run Schwarz Alternative School and served as the state Recovery School District’s high school achievement specialist, will oversee “day-to-day operations,” Chairman Michael Todd told board members, and Vera Triplett, who has led the New Beginnings charter group and L.B. Landry High, will act “in a consultant capacity.” Read more…
